The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for community awards that recognize and honor individuals, businesses and organizations that have distinguished themselves through outstanding volunteerism, accomplishments and contributions in the community. The awards will be presented at The Chamber’s 110th Annual Meeting & Community Awards on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Anyone in the community may submit nominations. The online forms are available by visiting www.ChamberBloomington.org or by contacting The Chamber at 812-336-6381 or [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 28th, at 5:00 p.m.

I am excited to nominate Indiana Farm Bureau - Barrett Agency, led by Brandon Barrett, for four prestigious awards: Lifetime Achievement Award, New Business of the Year, Community Anchor Award, and 4 Under 40 Award. For over seven years, Brandon and his team have shown outstanding commitment to their clients and the Bloomington community, making them strong candidates for these recognitions.

- Lifetime Achievement Award
Brandon Barrett has dedicated over seven years to serving his clients with exceptional care. He goes above and beyond, often visiting clients at their homes or accident sites to provide support during challenging times. His consistent dedication reflects the qualities this award celebrates.

- New Business of the Year
The Barrett Agency has demonstrated impressive innovation and growth under Brandon’s leadership. Through creative client engagement events and community initiatives, the agency has established itself as a dynamic and forward-thinking business.

- Community Anchor Award
The Barrett Agency is a vital part of the Bloomington community. Brandon actively supports organizations like Down Syndrome Family Connection and Rotary. For seven years, the agency has hosted CAST for Kids, creating memorable experiences for children with special needs. Their annual charitable program donates $5 per insurance quote—regardless of whether it’s finalized—to a selected organization, with this year’s focus on the Boys & Girls Club. Additionally, their upcoming Trash Walk initiative underscores their commitment to keeping Bloomington clean.

- 4 Under 40 Award
As a young leader, Brandon exemplifies the qualities of the 4 Under 40 Award. His innovative client appreciation events, like grill-outs with games and prizes, strengthen community ties. His ability to blend business success with meaningful community impact highlights his exceptional leadership.

Indiana Farm Bureau - Barrett Agency, under Brandon’s guidance, has made a significant impact on both clients and the Bloomington community. I wholeheartedly recommend them for these awards.
