The Process The Chamber Used
to Develop its
2013 Local Public Policy Initiatives

Each year, The Chamber’s Legislative Council is chartered by the Board of Directors to study and track legislation at the  state level most critical tothe local business community.  In addition to monitoring the issues, the Legislative Council also listens to input and feedback given by our members as part of the Annual Business Climate and Legislative Survey.

This year, a decision was made to create a Local Public Policy Initiatives focusing on those issues The Chamber will track at the local level. Like our 2013 Legislative Agenda, which focuses on issues at the state level, our Local Public Policy Initiatives were developed in conjunction with The Chamber Advocacy Council and our Legislative Council. It was then reviewed and approved by The Chamber’s Board of Directors.
