About the Chamber
The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is the largest and oldest
business advocacy association in Bloomington and Monroe County. Members
include both small and large businesses, retailers, professionals, educators,
service providers, governmental units, manufacturers, nonprofit organizations
and individuals.
The diversity of our members is reflected in the broad range of initiatives
the Chamber takes on each year. As the voice of businesses in our community,
the Chamber's goal is to advocate for the best interests of our membership
and for what is best for our entire community.
What Does the Chamber Do?
• Advocates to state and local elected officials on issues
critical to the success of the business community.
• Sponsors annual Business
EXPO, the largest trade show in Monroe County, in partnership with
the Small Business Development Center.
• Urges action on awareness or transportation issues- including
improvements planned for State Rd. 46, College Mall Road, I-69, the bypass,
the Monroe
County Airport and Crane naval base.
• Spearheads the Franklin Initiative, Monroe County's school-to-career
program.
• Keeps members informed via weekly fax letter and monthly business
newspaper, Business Network.

and we encourage active participation in community leadership and public
service.

thrive. We work to improve the quality of life and economic well-being
of all citizens.
Providing resources to help members meet their potential: We
provide programs, tools and information to help our members become more
competitive.
Our mission has been crafted to ensure that we are always working
to create better business and a better community.
